Balance
Being able to walk, move and navigate through our daily routine requires a certain level of balance. Think about walking up or down a flight of stairs carrying a laundry basket – you need to have a certain amount of upper and lower body strength to maintain your posture and balance. As we get older, it is even more important to practice and train our balance.
Ways to train your balance:
- Practice standing on one leg for 10-20 seconds at a time.
- Walk heel-to-toe in a straight line.
- Practice getting up from a seated position to a standing position.
